Bach Dancing & Dynamite Society: Brave New World

Bach Dancing & Dynamite Society (BDDS) presents its 30th annual summer chamber music festival entitled Brave New World, consisting of innovative and unexpected programs. We’re offering four kinds of musical experiences: an On-Demand Virtual Concerts of four video recorded concerts performed by BDDS artists in Madison for $60, released on Saturdays, June 12, 19, 26, and July 3, and will be available to view until September 1; Yours Truly, a one-on-one real-time virtual interaction and musical experience with a BDDS artist (pay-what-you-wish donation); Bandwagon, free, short outdoor pop-up concerts in neighborhoods all over Madison; and Project: Music Heals Us, virtual concerts for hospital and hospice patients.
We’ll play energetic and engaging mix of music including more Black, Latin American, and women composers than ever before. We’ll pay homage to the 2020 anniversary of Beethoven’s birth, the 2021 anniversary of Astor Piazzolla’s birth, and the celebration of emancipation, Juneteenth.
