Event Description

About:  The program covers dementia education as well as practical communication skills and Positive Approach to Care (Teepa Snow) techniques such as hand over hand.

Caregivers will also be given the opportunity to experience the Virtual Dementia Tour alongside this program. Virtual Dementia Tour is a powerful and life changing sensory simulation that mimics what it feels like to have dementia.

This program is co-facilitated by Marion Chapin, Positive Approach to Care Dementia Educator and Ellen Taylor, Dementia Care Specialist at the Aging and Disability Resource Center of Dane County.

What to know/bring: This program will be 2.5 hours in duration. Please note interest in participating in the optional Virtual Dementia Tour at registration.
