Restoration Workdays at Donald County Park

Enjoy the outdoors, learn about the natural world, and forge new friendships by joining the Friends of Donald Park on a restoration workday. This fall and winter, we’ll clear invasive brush from our oak savanna and prairie sites to encourage rejuvenation of native species. We will also spread seed on sites we have been restoring over the last few years. We work in teams using simple hand tools, and no experience is necessary. What to wear: Old clothes, sturdy shoes, and garden or leather gloves if you have them. (We have some to lend out.) What to bring: Please bring water. We will provide tools and cookies. The meeting location varies, depending on the day's work. Please arrive at 9:45 am to check in. If you can join us, please RSVP to the work party leader, Liz McBride, at elizabeth-mcbride@sbcglobal.net by the Friday before the workday so she can let you know the meeting location and reach you if weather forces us to cancel.
