County Executive Parisi’s Statement Regarding the Recent Tragic Shooting of Anisa Scott in Madison

Dane County Executive Joe Parisi issued the following statement regarding the recent tragic shooting of Anisa Scott in Madison:

“Our hearts are broken by the senseless violence committed against Anisa Scott. No family deserves the pain that has been inflicted upon this child and her loved ones. As a father, I can only imagine the anguish Anisa’s family is experiencing.

“We must condemn this violent act and work to bring the perpetrator of this crime to justice, while at the same time continue to focus our efforts on addressing the root causes and conditions that contribute to the unprecedented violence we have witnessed throughout the summer.

“There is much sadness in our community today, and for good reason. Now, more than ever, we need to be there for one another, and most importantly, for Anisa’s family.”
