Man Overdoses While Driving

– Dane County Sheriff’s deputies and Waunakee Police responded to an overdose on CTH Q in the town of Westport just before midnight on Sunday, January 28th.

Jeremy W. Divine, age 39, of Friendship, was driving a 2012 Honda Pilot when he overdosed on Heroin and was reportedly unresponsive. His passenger, Deangelo E. Harris, age 27, of Madison, recognized that Divine was about to lose consciousness and was able to help get the SUV off the road and into a driveway. Waunakee Police arrived and successfully administered several doses of Narcan to Divine. He regained a pulse and was conscious when transported by ambulance to a local hospital.

Devine was arrested for Operating While Intoxicated – 4th offense, along with felony bail jumping and several warrants. Harris was also arrested for felony bail jumping. Both men are currently being held in the Dane County Jail.
