Dane County Deputies Make Two Felony OWI Arrests Overnight

Dane County Sheriff’s Deputies made arrests for a 5th offense and a 7th offense Operating While Intoxicated (OWI) overnight.
Shortly after 4:00 pm on Thursday, January 23rd, David M. Le Bherz, age 60 of Madison, was arrested for his 5th OWI following a traffic stop at S. Fair Oakes Avenue near Garver Green in the City of Madison. He was also cited for open intoxicants and no seatbelt.
Daniel T. Morgan, age 37, of Mt. Horeb, was arrested for his 7th offense OWI after he rolled his pick-up truck on CTH P at Stagecoach Road in the town of Cross Plains. Deputies responded to the crash at 10:46 on Thursday night, where they found the pick-up truck on its roof on CTH P. Morgan left the crash scene, but with the use of UAVs and calls from concerned citizens, he was located hiding on the roof of a business on Main St. in the Village of Cross Plains. He is also facing a charge of possession of cocaine and resisting.
Both men are currently being held in the Dane County Jail.
