MADISON – Dane County Executive Melissa Agard is inviting families from across the region to attend the 2025 Dane County Fair, which kicks off tomorrow, July 17th, and runs through Sunday, July 20th at the Alliant Energy Center in Madison. The County Executive will attend the Fair on Friday, July 18th to celebrate the people and traditions that make this event a cornerstone of summer in Dane County.
“Whether it’s cheering on youth exhibitors or catching live music under the summer sky, the Dane County Fair is an incredible celebration of family fun and local agriculture,” County Executive Agard said. “It’s a chance to support our hardworking 4-H members, learn more about where our food comes from, and make memories with loved ones. The Fair is one of the best things about summertime in Dane County, and I hope to see you there.”
The Fair features classic family-friendly attractions including carnival rides, live entertainment, delicious fair food, a petting zoo, and competitions showcasing the talents of local youth. From dairy cattle to photography to woodworking, the 2025 Dane County Fair offers a hands-on glimpse into the richness of rural life and the vital role agriculture plays in our region.
Each day of the Fair offers something special:
- Thursday, July 17 – Hometown Hero Day: Celebrate military members, first responders, and community heroes with themed activities and admission specials.
- Friday, July 18 – Kids Day: A full day of free kids’ activities, tractor rides, animal encounters, magic shows, and youth livestock shows. County Executive Agard will attend this day.
