Madison, WI — Dane County Regional Airport (DCRA) is pleased to announce Breeze Airways will launch new nonstop service from Madison to Raleigh-Durham International Airport (RDU), providing travelers with a convenient new connection to one of the fastest-growing regions in the country. The new nonstop service will start at $49 with summer seasonal service on Mondays and Fridays starting May 8th. Tickets are available for purchase starting today. Raleigh marks MSN’s third new nonstop announced in recent weeks and the third airline to announce new service, with American Airlines and Delta Air Lines announcing nonstop flights to Boston starting in June 2026.

“Adding a new nonstop route to Raleigh-Durham demonstrates the strong demand for air travel in Dane County that is driving service expansion at our airport,” said Dane County Executive Melissa Agard. “Record-breaking passenger volumes are translating into real investment, with Raleigh-Durham marking the third nonstop route added in the past six weeks and bringing Dane County Airport up to 19 nonstop destinations serviced. These flights fuel economic growth, strengthen business relationships, and make it easier for people to live, work, and do business in Dane County.”

Raleigh-Durham is a key destination for both business and leisure travelers, anchored by world-class universities, a thriving tech and life sciences sector, and a vibrant cultural scene. The new Breeze Airways nonstop flight strengthens ties between Madison and North Carolina’s Research Triangle, making it easier for travelers to connect for business, education, healthcare, and recreation.

“This route is the direct result of travelers choosing to fly local,” said Mark Papko, executive director of Dane County Regional Airport. “When passengers support their local airport, airlines take notice. We’re excited that Breeze Airways continues to expand their offerings here with nonstop service to Raleigh, in addition to current Breeze nonstops to Tampa, Orlando, and Los Angeles. Raleigh is an important and growing market for Madison’s business community, universities, and leisure travelers.”

In addition to its business appeal, Raleigh offers visitors a rich mix of arts, dining, outdoor recreation, and easy access to both North Carolina’s beaches as well as their mountains. The nonstop Breeze Airways flight allows Madison-area travelers to reach the region more quickly and comfortably, without the need for a connection.

Papko added that flying from MSN offers benefits beyond nonstop destinations. “Travelers enjoy a more relaxed experience at MSN, with shorter lines, convenient parking, and easy access in and out of the terminal—making travel simpler from start to finish.” The addition of Breeze Airways’ nonstop service to Raleigh further strengthens Dane County Regional Airport’s growing portfolio of nonstop destinations such as Boston, Washington DC, New York City, Denver, and more, giving travelers more choice, flexibility, and competitive options.

Breeze Airways provides nonstop service between underserved routes across the U.S. at affordable fares, bringing premium, affordable, and nonstop air service to secondary markets on its flagship fleet of Airbus A220-300 aircraft. Breeze Airways operates more than 300 year-round and seasonal routes to 78 cities in 35 states.

MSN Airport continues to invest in terminal improvements and passenger amenities, including new and updated dining options, free Wi-Fi 6, Mother’s Lounges, children’s play areas, meeting rooms, and an indoor pet relief area. Visit msnairport.com for more information.
