Madison, WI. March 4^th, 2026 – On Wednesday, March 4, 2026 at 7:27p.m., 25-year-old Andrea R. Smith has been declared AWOL from the Dane County Sheriff’s Office Jail Diversion Program.

Deputies attempted to locate Andrea R. Smith after a tampering alert came through regarding her GPS monitoring bracelet.  Her bracelet was located, cut off.  Attempts to locate Smith have so far been unsuccessful.  Her last recorded GPS location was on the North side of Madison near Parkside Drive.

Andrea R. Smith is a black female, 5’09”, 223lbs, with hazel eyes and brown hair.  Anyone with information on her whereabouts is asked to call the Dane County Communications Center at 608-255-2345.

UPDATE:

On Thursday, March 5th, 2026, Andrea R. Smith was located and taken back into custody with assistance from the Madison Police Department.
