At 11:40 pm, Dane County Deputies along with Burke / Bristol, De Forest, Sun Prairie, Cottage Grove, Blooming Grove, Maple Bluff and Truax Field Fire Departments responded to a report of a structure fire at 6011 U.S. Highway 51, in the Town of Burke. A passerby made the initial telephone call to the Communications Center after seeing flames.
The first arriving deputy reported that the commercial structure, Naughty Novelties, was fully engulfed in flames. A damage estimate is unavailable at this time, although it appears to be a total loss.
No persons or animals were reported injured or harmed in the blaze. An exact cause of the fire remains under investigation.
