Former AEC Chief Financial Officer to Serve Following Retirement of Outgoing Director, Bill DiCarlo, in June

Dane County Executive Joe Parisi announced today that he has selected Former Alliant Energy Center Chief Financial Officer, Kevin Gould, to serve as the center’s Interim Director following the retirement of outgoing Director, Bill DiCarlo, in June.

“I’m happy to welcome Kevin Gould back as Interim Director for the Alliant Energy Center,” said Parisi.  “Kevin knows the Alliant Energy Center inside and out.  His leadership during the AEC’s transition will ensure that the center’s guests and customers get the quality experience they’ve come to expect from our facility.”

Gould worked at the AEC for almost 25 years as Chief Financial Officer.  Gould’s tenure at the facility included two previous stints as Interim Director in 1992 and 1997.  Gould has worked for Dane County for 33 years, beginning in 1978 as Dane County’s Purchasing Manager for the Department of Administration.

Prior to beginning his duties as Interim Director, Gould will join the County Executive’s AEC Expansion Exploration Task Force.  The group is currently evaluating the center to provide recommendations that will maintain the facility’s positive contribution to Dane County and the region.

“It’s an honor to serve Dane County and the guests and customers of the Alliant Energy Center once again,” said Gould.  “We are in an important development phase for the facility and I look forward to the work ahead.”

The Alliant Energy Center and Exhibition Hall are estimated to provide nearly $88 million in direct local economic impact, and welcome more than one million people attending more than 500 events annually.  Over dozens of decades, the complex has been host to a diverse line-up of conventions, trade shows, entertainment acts, community expos and meetings, the Dane County Fair, and world-renowned agriculture event World Dairy Expo.

A thorough search and screen process to recruit a successor for DiCarlo will be underway soon.
