Capital City Trail Closed Due to Storm Damage

MADISON, WI – August 21, 2018 - The Capital City Trail is closed between Fish Hatchery Road and Badger State/Cannonball/Capital City trail intersection known as the bicycle roundabout. Monday’s storm left downed trees, standing water, and washed out portions of the trail at various locations between the bicycle roundabout and Fish Hatchery Road. Dane County Parks have placed barricades on the trail and are clearing up the downed trees. The trail washouts on either side of the Longford Terrace underpass tunnel will require reconstruction which may result in a several week closure of this portion of the Capital City Trail.
