Amendments focus on youth, clean lakes, and inclusive engagement
Building on a strong budget proposed by County Executive Joe Parisi, the County Board has heard public testimony over the last month in consideration of a variety of amendments addressing human services, public protection, and the environment. The Personnel and Finance Committee will complete their review of 2019 budget amendments next week.
“Broad themes that characterize the County Board budget amendments include a focus on youth, front end criminal justice, and water quality in the Yahara Chain of Lakes,” said County Board Chair Sharon Corrigan (District 26, Middleton). We are also boosting the County Board’s community outreach efforts via the Engage Dane initiative."
Final budget amendments go before the Board's Personnel & Finance Committee on Wednesday Nov. 7 in Room 351 of the City-County Building at 5:30 p.m. The full Board is then scheduled to discuss and vote on the entire 2019 budget on Monday, Nov. 12 in Room 201 of the City-County Building beginning at 7 p.m.
