$1.1 Million Awarded to Assist with Airfield Maintenance and Repair Projects
Madison – The U.S. Department of Transportation has awarded Dane County Regional Airport $1,150,141 in Federal assistance for the maintenance, repair, and improvement of airfield pavements including Runway number 03/21, Runway number 14/32, and Taxiway Bravo (B) & Charlie (C).
"Infrastructure projects like these are essential for ensuring the airport can handle the increased demands of the area and south central Wisconsin," Dane County Executive Joe Parisi said. "These improvements will ultimately result in more efficient operations and improve safety at our airport."
The project will improve safe runway operations and improve the quality and conditions of the adjoining taxiways that receive continual use as secondary operation surfaces. These projects are expected to be completed during 2019.
